For root pass in one-sided TIG welding of stainless steels. TGX series are flux cored filler rods for TIG welding without back shielding in the root pass. A slag is produced which protects the backside from oxidation. Weld costs of one-sided root pass so greatly decreased due to purging no longer being required.
